Submission Guidelines

Thanks for thinking of us as a home for your work! Wiki Lit is an online literary project dedicated to publishing great work. We have no preference of style or genre. Send us work that is experimental or traditional, realistic or fabulist, as long as it’s honest. You decide what that means for you. All we ask is that you send us your best work.

We’re committed to publishing diverse writers and those whose voices are traditionally underrepresented. Please send us your work.

Since we think it’s a little crazy to send work to only one place at a time, simultaneous submissions are wildly encouraged. Please just let us know if someone snatches up your work before we can.

For both fiction and nonfiction, we have no strict word count, but we prefer work under 3,000 words.

For poetry, send us up to five poems at a time. In the event that one of your poems is accepted elsewhere, you may withdraw that poem while keeping the rest of your submission active.

At this time, Wiki Lit is not taking work that has previously been published. We assume first serial rights with rights reverting back to the writer upon publication.

All submissions should be sent to wikilitanthology @ gmail dot com. You may include a cover letter, though it is not required.

Attach files as .docx, .pdf, or .rtf. Your subject line should read: [Genre] Submission — “Title of Your Piece”. For example: Fiction Submission — “To Kill A Mockingbird”.

We’ll do our very best to get back to you as soon as we can, but please allow up to two months before following up on your submission. We look forward to reading your work.
